For Both Novice Riders and Riders Looking To Improve Group Riding Experience

WHEN DO WE RIDE?

Rides begin on Wednesday May 15th at 6pm and run for twelve weeks – always on Wednesdays

COME JOIN US

 

  • BIG Midweek rides are designed for both casual riders who might be inexperienced and perhaps even fearful of riding on the roads AND for riders with some group riding experience who are confident in their foundational skills
  • Our Guides will take small groups for rides, which will match the abilities of the riders in that group
  • Depending on the level of a group, guides may explain the principles of safety, cycling and training dynamics or higher level group riding concepts like how to create an echelon
  • Individuals who regularly attend, with the desire to compete in our BIG 30KM or 50KM route, will feel confident in their group riding ability and be ready at the end of twelve weeks
  • Cost is $65.00

 

All participants receive the following:

PACE GROUPS

TEA GROUPS For novice riders

 

CAMOMILE

For those who would like to ride easy but want to experience riding in small groups with likeminded people while increasing fitness and biking skills. Distance 10+ KM. Pace – 14-18 KM/HR

 

GINGER

You have had some experience of group rides but would like more group saddle time while riding at a moderate pace. Distance 15+ KM. Pace 16-22 KM/HR

 

COFFEE GROUPS – For riders with some group riding experience

 

LATTE

For those who would like to ride easy but want to experience riding in small groups with likeminded people while increasing fitness and biking skills. Distance 20+ KM. Pace – 20-25 KM/HR

 

CAPPUCCINO

You have had some experience of group rides but would like more group saddle time while riding at a moderate pace. Distance 20+ KM. Pace 22-27 KM/HR

 

MOCHA

The Mocha group will follow the same routes as the Cappuccino group but at a faster and more consistent pace. Distance 20+ KM. Pace 24-29 KM/HR

 

AMERICANO

This is the group for you if you are comfortable with group riding and have a good level of fitness but want to improve your cycling skills. Distance 30+ KM. Pace 26- 31 KM/HR

 

ESPRESSO

We ride consistently and will sometimes share the workload at the front… ideal for riders that want to try a faster pace and drafting while knowing that there is a “no drop” policy. Distance 30+ KM. Pace 28-33 KM/HR
